Not recently, but in the spring, you know when hiking was fun and the world wasn’t the same temperature as the sun.
Anyway one of the most underrated things about taking pictures on film is how sometimes you forget about a roll or it takes you a month to finish it and then, wow the memories. Instant gratification is so overrated. In this case that month was about 4.
The hike was a 30 something mile section of the AT. Weather was amazing somehow, despite all the rain in the forecast. Still too cold for the bugs and too early in the year for the trails to be busy. We were out for 3 days and two nights and saw maybe 5 people.
The second night we slept in an abandoned gondola shack on top of Sugarloaf. As a kid I grew up skiing there and always dreamed of sleeping in there over night and waking up to get first tracks on a powder day. 25 years later it still felt good.
